Jesus, I know you hear me and can help me; so I must tell you what I need.
READ: Hebrews 4:15-16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
I have learned a new meaning for the word, "classical." It means enduring value. It's used to describe music that has perpetual, long lasting worth. There's one hymn that has "enduring value" for me: I Must Tell Jesus by John P. Kee. Here are the lyrics:
I must tell Jesus all of my trials,
I cannot bear these burdens alone ... He kindly will help me He'll do it, he'll do it, Jesus alone
I must tell Jesus all about troubles, He can work them out
I must tell Jesus. I must tell Jesus. I must tell Jesus Jesus alone.
I'll tell Him all of my troubles, I'll tell Him all of my fears. I'll tell Him all of my problems. He can work them out.
I must tell Jesus. I must tell Jesus.
I must tell Jesus, Jesus alone.
These words have value because they were true when written, have remained true, and will be always be true. Jesus will help me. Jesus alone.
Jesus, I thank you for listening to me and helping me.
