The Mission: Week 3 - Day 1
Lord, help us to have faith like Daniel and let it magnify those that need to see it most. Thank you, Lord, for the mighty works you will do today.
Read: Galatians 3:8 (NIV)
8 “Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”
Have you ever thought “what if”? What if God could do a miracle in my life? Do I really believe he could work out this problem? Can he make me whole again and renew my life after my husband has left me, my teenager has rebuked God and is doing his own thing, my mother is ill and has no answers, my husband’s anger is out of control? Can God fix this? If we wake up every day worrying about what we can’t fix, but let God work on it, we will be happier. Tell him what you can’t do and leave it up to him. Don’t pick it up again, either! Just keep trusting him for hours, days, and even years. He knows what he is doing! A little woman of great faith once prayed a man she didn’t know out of prison. That woman was my mother. I grew up with great faith! You may not have grown up in a home as I did, but, as a young child, I learned HE is in control and you are NOT! Paul, who is writing the letter to the Galatians, became a man of GREAT faith. He related this verse to Abraham, who put his trust in God. He believed GOD, and didn’t merely “believe IN God”. You, like Abraham, must be “of faith”. We, as Christians, must have an attitude of faith. A couple of weeks ago we heard of a man who prayed and a young girls’ cancer went away. I promise you will have a new outlook on life if you will practice the thought of “God will take care of this”, because he really WILL.
Start this morning, believing that he will give you faith like Abraham, Daniel and David. Try it, it works. Got Faith?
Heavenly Father, help me to believe that you work all things out according to your purpose. Let me know if the answer is “No”, “Wait” or “Yes”. I want to feel your presence and not worry about things I can’t control. I want to have faith like your mighty warriors in the Bible.
