Make a Way for the One: Week 2 - Day 3

Opening Prayer: - Thank you, God, for all the times I have prayed and you have answered.  You are good. and Your ways are good.

Read: Psalm 10:17 (NIV)

17  “You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted;  you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.”

Reflect:

What a powerful verse showing God’s heart towards us.  He hears us, and He moves to action.   In a talk given at Azusa Pacific University, Dallas Willard shared three things about God that are key to living out our faith. Perhaps there is one of these you need to meditate on regarding God’s faithfulness in your own life.

God is here – Through Jesus Christ, God’s Kingdom has come to earth.  He is not far away but always near us.  He always hears and responds.

God is able – There is nothing too hard for God because God holds everything together. He has the power to come in and change any situation

God is good – “God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5 “You are good and what You do is good.” Psalm 119:68a  God is not the author of anything that is evil.

Apply:

Believe that when you pray to God, He immediately hears your cry and will answer you out of His goodness. Begin to keep a record of all the ways God has encouraged you.  Be prepared to share God’s love with others!

Closing Prayer:

God, thank you for providing everything that I need.  Open my eyes to the people You want me to share with about Your goodness.
