Plot Twist: Week 6 - Day 2
Dear Lord, I continue to submit what I have been given back to you. Be gentle on me today as you reveal how I am doing in managing what I have been given.
Read: Luke 12:44 (NIV)
44 “Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.”
When the master returns and finds you managing well, he will put you in charge of more things. Since you do not know when your life will end, or Jesus will return, make the most of your time by doing good.
One of the best illustrations of good management for me is the care of a plant. Neglect equals wilted leaves, then dry leaves. Done. To keep a plant alive and thriving really is so simple: you must water in a timely manner. When your plant is doing well, you will soon find yourself in a mini jungle. Consider the things God has given you in this way. If you don’t tend to them they will wilt and parish. But if you do manage well, they will flourish and you get more.
In what areas in your life are flourishing? Maybe it’s a project at work that just went off without a hitch. Maybe your teenager is walking with the Lord. Maybe a neighbor who you have been reaching out to is reciprocating. Take a moment to reflect on the good things. Have you been faithful in your management? Thank God for his trust in you.
Lord, we praise you in the good times and bad because we know you will never leave nor forsake us. Thank you for giving us good things to steward for your kingdom
