Back to School: Join a Team - Day 5

Opening Prayer:

Father God, thank you for those you have brought into my life to encourage me and share in my life's journey. I pray that you will use me to help reach out to others who also need your redeeming grace. Amen.

Read: Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV)

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching”.

Reflect:

“Created for relationship”. That was the title of an article I read recently. The writer talked about how God created man for relationship.  The Bible doesn't just tell us about our need for connection.  It also tells us where to find relationships:  among Jesus' followers. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that we are in community to help each other do what God has designed us to do; “To consider one another in order to stir up love and good deeds”.   He also encourages us to regularly come together for fellowship.

Apply:

Thanks be to God who has made us for relationship and has given us his people to be our family.  Think of how those whom God has placed in your life have touched you in a special way.  He wants to use you in the same way, to touch someone’s life!   Will you let him?

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for using me to touch lives for Jesus and for touching my life with those you have placed in my path.  Amen.
