Back to School: Join a Team - Day 4
Lord Jesus, we praise you for this day and the surrounding beauty in all that we see. Help us to show your love to all those who cross our path today. Amen.
Read: 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms”.
Some of the greatest times I've ever had as a follower of Jesus Christ were when I was engaged in ministry with other believers. Work projects and serving opportunities with others always seem to have that element of satisfaction and accomplishment. God tells us in the above scripture each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. God has gifted each one of us according to his grace. Our struggle sometimes is figuring out what our gift or gifts are. But rest assured, you have gifts. And when you begin to realize your giftings, share them with others. That is what God designed us to do.
Romans tells us “For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them”. (Rom. 12:4-6 NKJV). Do you have gifts that are not being used?
Lord, help us to realize our strengths and abilities in order to serve well and work together in community for others. Amen.
