Back to School: Sex Ed - Day 1
Father, open our eyes to see peer pressure in and around our lives.
Read: 2 Samuel 11:2-3 (NIV)
One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her.
I can’t even imagine walking out on a roof and seeing someone naked and bathing. It must be a lot like watching something inappropriate on your computer. David was a King, he could do or ask for anything.
As you begin to think about this verse, meditate on how you could let your light shine for God. Today you will look for ways to be different to not be that ugly person God doesn’t want you to be, but to be more like him, shining in the dark. Different not like the world in anyway, the person that holds the door, the guy that says, “Thank you” and not the person in your car who doesn’t like the other drivers. Radiate in the grocery store, the car wash, and at work today.
Lord Jesus, let an opportunity arise today that I will be able to really let my light shine for you, let them know I am different…I belong to the Light.
